City contact centres intermittently unable to receive phone calls due to maintenance

The City of Cape Town wants to inform residents that our contact centres will be intermittently impacted for an estimated four-hour period while we undertake maintenance to our voice platform. As such, the contact centres may at times be unable to receive phone calls in the early morning hours of tomorrow.
The impacted hours for phone calls are as follows: from 01:00 to approximately 05:00 on Thursday morning, 18 September 2025

We remind customers to log a request via the City’s e-services portal at www.capetown.gov.za, or to register a service fault on the City App if they are able to do so. Residents are also encouraged to make use of the email and sms channels during this time.
The maintenance is essential to enhance system performance and the downtime will apply for only a part of the maintenance period. We thank the public for their support and understanding.
